Raukawa Centre to receive a defibrillator (demonstration on how to use)

Our Raukawa Centre will be receiving a defibrillator in the next few weeks – an important tool that has proven to help save lives.
A team from St Johns will be doing a free presentation on how to use it, and everyone’s welcome. If this is something you’re interested in, come along to 108 Strathmore Ave, Strathmore Park Community Centre on Tuesday 20 March 20 at 6.30pm.

Shocking anti-Māori propaganda posted in mailboxes

I am a Māori and today I found some shocking anti-Māori propaganda which had been obviously hand delivered into my mailbox. It was a call to action and as the neice of the late Moana Jackson and Syd Jackson, two intelligent and educated Māori leaders I am appalled to think that someone in my Island Bay neighbourhood is helping to spread these hateful messages.
