Childrens day
This Sunday is Children's day, and Southside church would like to invite all families with pre-school age children in the area to our fun event. We will have a mainly music session running, as well as an area where preschoolers can play on some of our Toy library toys. There is also face painting and a free sausage sizzle, so Come along, Sunday March 4th, Glenview Primary school Hall, Bruce Ave From 11am till 12pm

One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.

Derelict Tokanui Hospital site in line for a clean-up
Derelict Tokanui Hospital buildings will be demolished and contaminated land cleaned up so the site can be offered back to iwi.
The former psychiatric hospital, southeast of Te Awamutu, sits on land taken from Ngāti Maniapoto under the Public Works Act in 1910.
