Used weatherboad, palette and other wood

Silke from Houghton Bay

We've got some weatherboard, a palette and other wood for free if somebody can still use it. Possibly more to come. Most of the weatherboard has gonenow to build compost boxes, garden sheds etc. Unfortunately the person who picked it up doesn't have a fireplace yet. He says that lots of the rest can be used as firewood or lightening a fire. Lots of small pieces, so no trailer needed, fits in a car. Pick-up is in Lyall Bay. Come over and pick what you need. Rest will go to landfill.

Shocking anti-Māori propaganda posted in mailboxes

Marama from Island Bay

I am a Māori and today I found some shocking anti-Māori propaganda which had been obviously hand delivered into my mailbox. It was a call to action and as the neice of the late Moana Jackson and Syd Jackson, two intelligent and educated Māori leaders I am appalled to think that someone in my Island Bay neighbourhood is helping to spread these hateful messages.
