Ōrewa motels book out for Oceans 2018
Every motel in Ōrewa has been booked by more than 800 competitors and their support groups for the four day Oceans 2018, Under-14 New Zealand Surf Life Saving Championships. (March 1 to 4)
The event is said to bring around 3000 to 4000 visitors to the area and the Ōrewa Surf Club encourages the community and businesses to get involved.

As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙
One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.
