Donation for Greenstone Doors expansions
Greenstone Doors is a Charitable Trust which functions as a pregnancy focused centre where women are able to experience a positive response to pregnancy and receive accurate and professional information and care. We provide education, counselling, resources and support for women and their families during and after pregnancy through an independent network of counselling and support professionals. We provide the following services for women and their families:• Free pregnancy testing.• Counselling for all peoples with life-issues, specialising in grief and loss that is pregnancy related (miscarriage, stillbirth, abortion, post-natal depression) and other significant life changes.• Practical Support – a number of support groups are operating to build strong families and promoting positive parenting. Donated baby clothing is given to anyone in need, free of charge and in the last twelve months we have assisted 156 families with this service. • Connecting – we have a strong links to community networks and receive referrals and refer clients to other agencies for additional resources and support. Our premises provide a welcoming and hospitable environment where mothers (and their families) who often cannot afford to access professional services, can drop in unannounced and be made to feel valued. We have outgrown our premises and are currently planning to expand and would like financial help with the fit-out of our new counselling rooms and hospitality area.
