Dog in car
Hi all, my work colleagues were really upset & angry when we came across a poor older dog left in a car on Thursday. The car had two windows open a finger distance apart. We called the SPCA & they told us to ring the police. We did that, called the pound to come down. Turns out the owner of both dog & car started work at 6am, left the dog in the car outside of their work. We found it at 11.30ish. The pound took the dog away, with pleads from us not to give the dog back. A couple stated they would take the dog. Don't know what happened to the owner. But really what an idiot. (Wanted to add something a lot stronger here). Why why why. What would possess someone to o that. Please think of our pets they rely on us and only us. Do the right thing.

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?
Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
