New Brighton photos
Hi all, took some photos at New Brighton last night - quite breezy and a bit of low cloud coming in off the sea, but still some nice colour in the sky and water... for the tech folks photos were taken with a Sony A99V and a 31 year old Minolta 20mm f/2.8 lens with a Hoya ND400 filter - first shot is 10 seconds exposure, ISO100, f/8 - 2nd is 25 seconds exposure, ISO50, f/8...

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
