Advice on kayaking the Motueka River?
Hello, I'm new to the area and can't find much information online about kayaking on the Motueka river. I have a 2+1 sit-on kayak and a couple of kids that are adventurous but not keen to do too much whitewater. Since it is summer (less water) I assume a nice leisurely paddle would be relaxing and fun. My wife could drop us off and then pick us up downriver. I'm just not sure where good put-in and take-out points would be. Also, will the water be high enough the whole way? Can I avoid whitewater? If anyone has advice please share, thanks in advance.
UPDATE: I paddled down from Peninsular Road in Ngatimoti to the bridge at Alexander Bluff Road. It was a beautiful hour-long paddle with a few little rapids. There was enough water to paddle (in January at least) and the rapids weren't too scary for my daughter.
