Stay safe this Christmas!

Like me, many of you will be looking forward to a break over the summer and some time at the beach. It’d be great to think that emergencies stop when we’re on holiday, but we know that sometimes doesn’t happen.

Wherever you are these holidays, remember, if you are near the coast and feel an earthquake that is long or strong: get gone. Merry Christmas everyone, safe travels and Happy New Year!

Poll: Should the government levy industries that contribute to financial hardship?

As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙

One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.
