W.H.A.T. is about to start another great year and if you would like to join us now is the time to apply. If you are resident on Whangarei Heads, including Onerahi, you can apply for full membership. If you are an interested Artist/Artisan who lives outside of the local area then you can apply for a guest place and if you are not an artist but would like to be involved and help in any way we'd love to hear from you.

Poll: Should the government levy industries that contribute to financial hardship?
As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙
One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.

Warrant to arrest: Steven Te Maru Walters
Police are working to locate Steven Te Maru Walters, who has a warrant for his arrest and is wanted by Police.
Walters, 40, is wanted by Police in relation to breaching his release conditions and is known to frequent the Whangārei area. It’s believed he is actively avoiding Police.
