ECAN - Deadline 31st October consent for low emission woodburners

Emma from Opawa - Saint Martins

Am I the last to know? Anyway FYI if you didn't either!!
If you are having to replace your woodburner eg its over 15 years.. you still need consent.
"...If you get your building consent lodged before 31 October 2017, you will be able to choose between a low emission wood burner and an ultra-low emission wood burner. ..."
"..... If you miss this deadline you can only install an ultra-low emission wood burner". *The ultra low are more expensive. And you have the consent fee.

Poll: Should the government levy industries that contribute to financial hardship?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙

One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.

So we want to hear what you think:
Should the government ask these industries to contribute?
