Local Help From New Government On Sea Level Rise
The new Government has a policy to commence “an urban redevelopment and adaptation programme, with a focus urban communities subject to sea level rise” This means local communities such as Thames, Whitianga, Tairua and Te Puru can expect significant help from Wellington with sea level rise adaption planning. But our Council, community and MP must be willing and ready to ask for that assistance.
