Brodifacoum(worse then 1080) Poison Operation at the brook sanctuary.
Looks like the brook sanctuary didn't setup the screen properly that stops pellets leaving the sanctuary. And now with the torrential rainfall on Saturday and the way the dam gates are designed to lift in floodwaters, theres a good chance brodifacoum poison baits have washed downstream into the brook stream and potentially into the Maitai River and the Nelson estuary. Pic taken 4pm on the day of the drop Thursday 5th October. Watch your children and dogs, this is a extremely toxic and dangerous contact poison that can absorbed through unbroken skin, the poison pellets are green and approx 2cm long, 1 cm wide. The NCC and the sanctuary is in denial , so don't expect any public announcements from them.
