Fiona McKenzie wants to help stop hearts hurting.

The Team from Heart Foundation - Hamilton Branch

Fiona McKenzie wants to help stop hearts hurting. Having lost the love of her life, Dylan, to cardiomyopathy aged 36, she knows only too well the hurt and destruction created by heart complications. Not only for the people left behind, but also for those living with heart conditions.

Tragically Dylan’s twin died the same year, from the same heart condition which makes it difficult for the heart to pump and causes the heart muscle to become enlarged.

For the second time, Fiona is running the 12km Traverse at ASB Auckland Marathon and fundraising for the Heart Foundation.
You can support Fiona’s efforts by donating to her fundraising page - aucklandmarathon2017.everydayhero.com...

Paralysed by denial, now living free

I didn’t think I had a problem with food. I just needed to get my life together. I was a recent college graduate and uncertain about my future. Once I made my dreams come true and conquered my segment of society, I’d be fine. Food didn’t have anything to do with it. All it did was steal away the mental energy I should have been using to find a new job and memorise important information.
