Pipeline for ultraviolet treatment at Waterloo Water Treatment Plant
To ensure good supplies of healthy drinking water, we’re installing a new resilient pipeline in central Lower Hutt. We have informed residents and organisations who are likely to be affected by initial stages of this work. The pipeline will divert ‘misty’ water away from the treatment plant, and ensure our new ultraviolet treatment system can operate effectively. We are doubling the effort of a typical pipeline project to minimise disruption to road users and residents, and ensure that the new UV treatment is operational as the demand for drinking water increases in the summer.
All residents and businesses are welcome to attend a meeting at Wellington Water at 1730 on Wednesday 13 September. Phone 04 912 4400 for the further details
