Horsham Downs Hall Committee - Annual General Meeting
The Annual General Meeting of the Horsham Downs Community Hall Committee is to be held on Tuesday 10 October 2017 at 7.30pm in the Meeting Room of the Hall.
All Waikato District Council ratepayers who contribute to the Horsham Downs Community Centre (check the "Rates Assessment" section on the rear of your rates notice) are eligible to participate and vote at the AGM.

As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙
One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.

Derelict Tokanui Hospital site in line for a clean-up
Derelict Tokanui Hospital buildings will be demolished and contaminated land cleaned up so the site can be offered back to iwi.
The former psychiatric hospital, southeast of Te Awamutu, sits on land taken from Ngāti Maniapoto under the Public Works Act in 1910.
