Attn: Upper Hutt Leads
Hi all,
This format has been suggested by the Neighbourly Team, with Elesha's endorsement, as a method to include the whole Upper Valley when the need arises to be a united voice. Am hoping to get this up and running as a method to unite when necessary, and to keep everyone involved when it comes to topics or events beyond individual communities.
I would be grateful if a Lead from each of our 17 neighbourhoods could step forward as an 'Official' (don't like that word, but ....) to help oversee the process, ensure it stays on track, and becomes an extension of individual Noticeboards.
It would have been great to have it for the Recycling Survey, but now we can move forward.
One can reach this by clicking on the 'Organisations' section on the green header toolbar, or respond via this message.
Thanks in anticipation
Sandra
Poll: Should the government levy industries that contribute to financial hardship?
As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙
One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.
So we want to hear what you think:
Should the government ask these industries to contribute?
-
59% Yes, supporting people is important!
-
26% No, individuals should take responsibility
-
15% ... It is complicated
A Neighbourly Riddle! Don’t Overthink It… Or Do?😜
