What a great role model
Former Hawke's Bay Magpies and Manu Samoa flanker Tivaini Fomai is no stranger to a tough battle.
But these days, rather than enduring 80 minutes on the rugby field, Fomai has his mettle tested working a 10-hour night shift that includes cramming in some university study during the wee small hours of the morning.
The father of three from Flaxmere in Hastings is halfway through a year-long graduate diploma of secondary teaching, which he is studying extramurally through Massey University. The picture shows Tivaini Fomai with his wife, Moira, in Wellington where he received a Kupe Scholarship to support his study towards a graduate diploma of secondary teaching. -
60.1% Yes, supporting people is important!
