Waterfront Hotels.

Steve from Waitaki District

read in the ODT on sat 13/05/17 on page 23 the council is thinking of letting hotels be built on the waterfront. Proposed site 1 on cnr of waterfront rd and esplanade and site 2 on cnr of arun and tyne sts.
these will block the sea views of existing houses on Tyne st.
On site 2 why not build a sound shell where our many talented musicians could entertain us.we could either sit on the flat or up on King George park.Have you noticed how many oamaruvians go to caroline bay for the entertainment.
the hotels could possibly be moved further east to the old wool store car park, next to where Mr DeGeest wanted to build his apartments years ago and was stopped. What are your views?
