Free dental care for Remote Fiji
I’m going on outreach to rural Fiji, with two colleagues, to bring medical care to those who do not have access to a doctor. I feel more than blessed as I have always felt the need to ‘give back’ some of the many things that I have been able to receive so easily.
Thanks to Marine Reach Ministries (permanently based in Fiji since 2002), we will be joining a group of medical professionals for a two week outreach to give free dental care to remote communities in Fiji.
The need for dental instruments is high. MRM volunteer dentists only have three highspeed hand-pieces (drills) and a small outdated steriliser; their ultrasonic scaler is broken and they need a new curing light.
I’m hoping to meet their needs of six or more hand-pieces, a new sterilliser, an ultrasonic scaler and a curing light by raising NZ$ 12,000.
I would like to ask you two things:
1. Please donate! givealittle.co.nz...
3. Follow me on www.facebook.com...
2. Spread the news and share my appeal.
More information can be found at www.marinereachfiji.com....
If you have more to offer than funds alone; Marine Reach Ministries are always in need of gloves, local anaesthetic, dental composite, sterilisation pouches, toothbrushes, toothpaste, up to clothes, nappies etc. (please refer to www.marinereachfiji.com.../marine-reach-donate/).
Who am I?
I am Rachel Bouwman, and even as an 11 year old I believed my goal in life was 'help people'. Now 23 years later I have 10 years experience working as a Dental Assistant, a great husband and 2 wonderful kids. I have been blessed with so many things in life; why should I keep all these all for myself? I always felt the need to give back.
Now I find myself been given the opportunity to go on outreach to help bring Dental care to those who don't even have any medical care.
I feel quite overwhelmed with the possibilities this brings and I am highly motivated to reach out to the volunteers at Marine Reach and those around me that might not be able to give time, but maybe can sponsor funds or supplies.
Poll: 🤖 What skills do you think give a CV the ultimate edge in a robot-filled workplace?
The Reserve Bank has shared some pretty blunt advice: there’s no such thing as a “safe” job anymore 🛟😑
Robots are stepping into repetitive roles in factories, plants and warehouses. AI is taking care of the admin tasks that once filled many mid-level office jobs.
We want to know: As the world evolves, what skills do you think give a CV the ultimate edge in a robot-filled workplace?
