Free composting workshop
Did you know that 50 per cent of the contents of a typical household bin in Auckland can be composted?
Find out how to put your food scraps to better use at a free workshop hosted by the Compost Collective. This will run from 10am until 12pm on Saturday 13th May at the Wellsford Community Hall.

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
