Research study into e-cigarette use (vaping)
Hello we are researchers at the University of Otago, Dunedin. We are looking for people who have never smoked regularly but who are using an e-cigarette and have vaped at least a couple of times in the last month. We are recruiting people to take part in an interview lasting around an hour that will explore vaping behaviours. The study has been approved by the University's Human Ethics Committee. Participants will be offered a $40 gift voucher to recognise any costs they incur participating in the research. As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙
One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.
