Lost Property
Do you have a child at Te Mata? Are they missing anything? Clothes, drink bottles, lunch boxes, bags, togs, towels etc. Even scooters!
We have an ever growing pile of found items in our lost property trolley. There are over 50 items in there. Most are clothing items, many with names. Many with the same names. And many that keep reappearing! And before you say "If they have names you can just return them", it is up to you ensure your child learns to be responsible for their own property, and for us to encourage that self responsibility. And with around 600 children to look after, we can't really be following them around to make sure they all keep their own clothes together. That would be a little silly, don't you think. When would the teaching staff have time to teach?
So, did your child come home without any trousers recently? Or sans jumper, hat, socks? Or even shoes?
Could you please check your child/rens' school gear. We are aware children will just leave things where they fall, but we are equally aware they will simply pick things up and not check if the what they pick up is theirs.
Don't just check they have their gear, please check they have their own gear. We have a number of parents who have missing items of clothing or other items from their childs' bags and would very much like them returned.
As winter is fast approaching, your children will need their winter jumpers back. Please come and get them or make sure they do.
The trolley is located on the ramp outside the entrance to the school hall. On fine days (usually Fridays) the items will be displayed on the beaches between room one and the hall.
Poll: 🤖 What skills do you think give a CV the ultimate edge in a robot-filled workplace?
The Reserve Bank has shared some pretty blunt advice: there’s no such thing as a “safe” job anymore 🛟😑
Robots are stepping into repetitive roles in factories, plants and warehouses. AI is taking care of the admin tasks that once filled many mid-level office jobs.
We want to know: As the world evolves, what skills do you think give a CV the ultimate edge in a robot-filled workplace?

So we want to hear what you think:
