Be in the know on the improvements to the Hutt City Centre, transport links and flood protection along the Hutt River

Community Engagement Advisor from Greater Wellington Regional Council

We want to deliver better flood protection, better lifestyle and improved transport links for all of you that live, work or play in central Lower Hutt through the RiverLink project.

Our part is to provide better flood protection of course, and our partners are working on the other pieces: Enhancing lifestyle in the Hutt City Centre through Hutt City Council's Making Places and looking at ways to reduce congestion and improve safety on State Highway 2 at the Melling and Block Road intersections by NZTA.

There's some exciting milestones coming up so visit us on www.riverlink.co.nz... and sign up for project updates to stay in the know!

Speed limits around NaeNae

Susan from Naenae

Hi Neighbors, Just a heads up, I have just received a $170 fine for driving at 50km on Rata Street Naenae on a SUNDAY Morning. I wrote to NZTA pointing out and sending in a photo of sign stating that it was 30km on school days between those hours, but they said that the whole of Rata Street and some surrounding streets are 30km 24/7 and have been for over a year. Did I miss this been advised by council? Always good to be informed. Merry Christmas to all
