Elderly couple's alleged carjacker remanded without plea
The man who allegedly carjacked an elderly couple as they were loading groceries into their car outside a Tikipunga shopping centre was remanded on custody to allow him to apply for legal aid.
The 35-year-old appeared in the Whangarei District Court on Monday.
