Thank you to all those who attended the meeting the other day and discussed the uses for Teviot Street Reserve. Also thank you to everyone who has brought forward ideas since the meeting. It was great to see different organisations, schools and of course the close community gathered for discussion. We are still encouraging people to get on board and show their support by attending tomorrow night’s meeting or forwarding their ideas to us through email or by facebook.

As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙
One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.
