Christchurch Butterfly Day
Moths and Butterflies Trust:
Are you going to Bromley Community Centre this Saturday, 18th February from 1pm? It's shaping up to be a fantastic day.
There will be opportunities to learn about butterflies, listen to talks, get plant advice, have your face painted, buy plants and seeds, see monarchs in all stages and generally have fun. Be sure to be there for the butterfly release!
If you'd like to know more, feel free to contact richardrowe@xtra.co.nz
Thanks to Mitre 10 Mega in Canterbury and Zealandia Horticulture.

What's your favourite tomato recipe?
Kia ora neighbours. We know your tomato plants are still growing, but we're looking ahead to the harvest already! If you've got a family recipe for tomatoes, we'd love to see it and maybe publish it in our magazine to share with our readers. Send your recipe to mailbox@nzgardener.co.nz, and if we use it in the mag, you will receive a free copy of our February 2025 issue.
Cats Still Missing - NEW TO AREA - Please keep sharing
Please help us find Sid and Dizzy. Missing since 10th November around Leander Street, Northcote. They snuck away after a stressful move into town, and so will likely be confused and a bit timid.
If found please contact Barbara Johnstone on 027 441 5594
We are particularly worried about Dizzy (black & white) he is older mainly a house cat and is VERY deaf : there were possible sightings of him on Joiners Ln (near Vagues Rd) not long after they went missing, but he's not been spotted since.
Please keep a look out for them. Thanks to everyone for your support.
