Domestic Wildlife
I, have just purchased a pest trap, advertised as designed to eradicate rat or stoat.Doing my bit for conservation of the native and exotic wildlife.Am disappointed though to read in the accompanying brochure that the trap could also kill hedgehog, which I don't want to harm, regardless of the view of some that hedgehogs are considered a pest.I will have to figure a method of allowing the rat access to the trap, but not the hedgehog. The trap is fixed 12cm high and the pest is killed by a piston-like apparatus fired by a small gas canister, triggered when the pest puts it's head up into the device to get the bait...
any suggestions would be welcome.
