June Neighbourly Lead from Broomfield - Hei Hei

And the, FINAL community news item, for the year,  so apologies neighbours for all the notices, I just did not want communities on Neighbourly to miss out on activities and events at this time of the year.  It's all about "sharing" the information, even through our Neighbourly connections
Have a Wonderful Xmas and Great New Year ....

PLAYHOUSE  CHALLENGE......Are you interested? Get a Team Together?  For two great organisations!!
Tenants Protection Association Christchurch and Birthright Christchurch are proud to bring you New Zealand's first 'Playhouse Challenge' and the chance to win Canterbury's inaugural 'Best Architectural Playhouse' award.
Five architectural/building teams will be selected to build their playhouses, which will be on display at the 2017 Star Home and Leisure Show from 30th June to 2 July. Following the judging the houses will be sold via auction with the proceeds being split between us and Birthright Canterbury to help us continue supporting Canterbury people with housing needs.

If you have a team that is up for the challenge, just click on the Playhouse Challenge Link for more information. Expressions of interest close on 22 December. As well as playhouse designers and builders, sponsors are also being sought.

Some Choice News!

Kia pai from Sharing the Good Stuff

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.

Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.

Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?

Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
