Marie Steer will deliver her last letter in Thames on Friday after 29 years.

WATCH THE VIDEO: When Marie Steer started delivering the mail in Thames 29 years ago, her bike had no gears and was so heavy, she couldn't lift it.

That was a big deal considering her delivery run was all hills - taking her through the steepest part of town, from Brunton Cres to the Booms.
