Our cover story today is about journalist Karen Rutherford's journey to recovery after a car allegedly ploughed into her horse, throwing Rutherford into its windscreen. Rutherford is now getting behind a petition launched the week after her crash by the NZ Horse Network to Minister of Transport Simon Bridges to make legislation clearer when it comes to passing horses on roads. Should horses be included in the national master plan for road safety?
