NZ authors - several of them local residents - will regale us with stories, readings from their latest publications and entertain the audience with anecdotes. We have an actor who now runs a successful cafe, several journalists, a first time author whose books has received rave reviews and an author who has published both fiction and non-fiction books.
A delicious afternoon tea will be served, fabulous door prizes, the authors latest publications will be for sale and the authors available to sign your purchases. A great opportunity to do some Xmas shopping and support Hibiscus Hospice as well.

The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.
This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
