Arts & Crafts
I teach and make pottery in Pukete. My 4 week beginners’ course covers hand building and the potter’s wheel. You learn to master the basics methods and how to make things microwave and dishwasher safe. Beginners’ classes are 4 to 6 people. When you discover what techniques you love you can return to pursue your creations at your pace in a supportive place. As an Engineer I can provide some technical background if you are interested or just guide you on what’s practical as you go.
I can make to order. So if you want memorabilia for your wedding table to something to match your decor or garden then talk to me.
For Scout and youth groups I can do demonstrations and teaching at your hall. Typically the kids will get to make something they can take home once glazed and fired. All I ask for is the material and firing costs. Prices start at $2.40 per piece for unglazed pots you can boil water in on a camp fire.
