Trafalgar Square Shopping Centre

Trafalgar Square was constructed in 1987 and officially opened on the 5th November 1989, by the then Mayor of Wanganui Chas Poynter.

Trafalgar Square Shopping Centre is located in the Heart of Wanganui within walking distance of Victoria Avenue and the Wanganui River. Wanganui is within a 3-hour drive from Wellington, Taupo and New Plymouth. A heritage theme is carried throughout the city with many historic wooden buildings, gas lights and flowering hanging baskets.

Trafalgar Square is the only undercover shopping centre in Wanganui. It is a single level shopping centre with 4 main entrance ways that lead to a common area that services 19 specialty retailers as well as two major retailers - Countdown Supermarket, The Warehouse.
Trafalgar Square comprises 13,000 square metres of floor space. The centre is serviced by 400 free car parks including 215 undercover car parks located below The Warehouse.
