In The Vein Centre we are very busy now to wrap the year up before the Christmas break. Although we have the last procedural day on the 15th of December, we are still open till the 21st. We invite all new patients to book an appointment to assess their varicose veins so you can plan the treatment next year. Our clinic will be closed from the 22nd of December to the 22nd of January, although we will check our emails on regular basis. Have a good Summer and New Year.

We will also apply a proper interpersonal distancing and use of PPE when indicated. All elective procedures, new consultations and followup visits will be carried out. The Vein Centre now is back to the normal service including initial consultations with the ultrasound examination, vein mappings and minimally invasive procedures. For the safety of our patients we comply with the Government's guidelines regarding social distancing and application of personal protection equipment. This way we want to be sure, that no patients suffering from vein problems have to wait for their assessment and treatment unnecessarily.

From the 28/04/2020 there will be a receptionist taking your calls and answering your emails every day. As we are waiting for the healthcare-specific directions about Level-3 restrictions, we will still be trying to avoid face to face consultations with exception of symptomatic patients or complications. Please be sure that every call and case will be assessed individually. As now it will be a perfect time to treat your varicose veins - partially due to the colder weather, partially due to limitations in overseas travel, please don't hesitate to contact us any time.

Hot summer should not preclude you from having a treatment done. With our Venaseal (glue) occlusion experience, you can have the first (most important) without necessity of hot compression stockings. Then, when it's colder, sclerotherapy will be performed (if needed) to complete the treatment.
Another patient has been relieved from varicose veins pain for the hot summer days, after successful glue closure. He left the Clinic without the stockings, with a sclerotherapy treatment planned for colder days!
Approaching winter does not necessarily means
bad news only. Why not to take care of your veins when treatment and post-treatment compression is better tolerated? Then your legs will feel much better during the next summer.
