St Josephs School

S.t Joseph's School is identified as a quality Catholic state integrated Yr1-8 school in the life of the Catholic parish of Timaru. We endeavour to deliver a curriculum centred around our motto "Enter to Learn, Live to Serve" which is closely aligned to the New Zealand Curriculum with support from our parents and wider school community.

Our school motto, “Enter to Learn, Live to Serve” encourages us to be people of hope, to step out, to face challenge, to live to serve, bringing about change in the world.

We acknowledge that Catholic education is part of a life-long process leading to a full and rewarding life. We believe this will be achieved by-

* fostering faith, hope and love
* promoting the dignity of each person within a caring community
* creating a positive learning environment
* helping individuals reach their potential
* encouraging interacting involving family, school, parish
and the wider community
* striving for excellence and celebrating success
We will:
* Provide situations which focus on Gospel Values and on our Mercy
Charism.
* Provide opportunity for successful achievement in all curriculum areas.
* Develop leadership, initiative and reliability through valuable broad
educational experiences.
* Develop and foster interaction between the school and the community.

We believe that the best way to find out about a school is to spend time there, so we warmly invite you to visit us and see if our school is the right place for your child.
