Theatres
2016 marked the 80th year of the Invercargill Repertory Society Inc bringing theatre to Southland audiences. Over the years hundreds of volunteers have contributed hours of their own time to directing, performing, designing sets, building sets, painting sets, properties, costuming, publicity, lighting, running front of house and all the other tasks associated with putting on a production season.
In a typical calendar year Repertory Invercargill produces three seasons and is always looking for new people to get involved in both on stage and behind the scenes roles. Our venue, Repertory House, also hosts acts for the annual Southland Festival of the Arts and supports other local arts events.
