Historic Attractions
Old St Paul's is one of Wellington's most beautiful places to visit. Founded in 1866, it is a category I historic place cared for by Heritage New Zealand Pouhere Taonga.
Now cared for by Heritage New Zealand Pouhere Taonga, Old St Paul’s is one of New Zealand’s greatest heritage places, exemplifying some of the finest Gothic Revival architecture in the world.
Constructed entirely from native wood, featuring spectacular Victorian stained glass windows, Old St Paul’s is a special and welcoming place for the many thousands of people who visit every year.
Although services are no longer held in Old St Paul's, it remains a very popular venue for weddings. Live music performances, film screenings, community and corporate events are also held in the building.
