Latest deckcreation

Nick Jenness from Nick The Builder

Howdy Neighbours

Here is our latest deck refurbishment.
The existing decking had done its job and is off greener pastures (the dump)
The sub framing was is good nick so after adding some structural blocking to stiffen it up, we gave the deck a birthday with some beautiful 140mm Kwila decking.

Today's project

Nick Jenness from Nick The Builder

Howdy Neighbours

Here's a little job that's a bit different.
Our lovely clients decided to add a feature wall to their lounge area. Consisting of a hardwood floating shelf surrounded by a two tone vertical batten on a black background. Looks pretty flash I reckon. πŸ‘

The new pool was round in shape so that created a bit of a challenge but we love a challenge and I think we mastered it.
We also constructed a new Boardwalk off the side of the existing deck the leads to a new outdoor shower that is planned in the future.

Our lovely clients asked us to repurpose the existing pavers which worked out fantastic as once we removed them, cleaned them and turned them over we found they were in great condition.
The new (existing) pavers are now on a solid compacted base, clean, level and are ready for summer entertaining. Enjoy. πŸ‘

We all know that this winter has been a particularly wet one. If fact we have had an unprecedented amount of rain which is causing new ground water issues everywhere.
Well fear not, we have solutions.
This is our latest project where our lovely clients were having issues with ground water seeping through the basement into the house. You can see the waterline on the dirt bank in the before photo.
We had a drainage company install drainage and a automatic submersible water pump to disperse the ground water. Then we installed a block wall with a Waterproofing membrane and scoria in front of the dirt bank. Works like magic and no more water issues.
