MeadowSweet Herbs & Flowers

MeadowSweet Herbs and Flowers is the business home of Minette Tonoli.

I am an earth mother and herb enthusiast striving to become more and more self-sufficient in my acre homestead. And I love sharing my experiences, and the knowledge I gained over more than 15 years growing and using plants for food and medicine.

I generally break my business up into two sections, Knowledge Base & Plants. I feel these intertwine beautifully to provide a place of excitement and inspiration in learning more about soulful gardening for your good food and good health.

KNOWLEDGE BASE

Almost more than growing herbs, vegetables, companion flowers and fruit, I absolutely love to chat about food and medicine plants, how to grow them and how to use them.

From horticulture know-how to household uses for herbs, from composting to caring for quail, or how to companion plant. There's recipes and ideas on cooking up a healthy meal with your own produce, or step-by-step making of home herbal remedies. It's about how to grow juicy and flavorsome tomatoes, how to prune your grapevine, what you can do to improve clay soil, what food to grow in the shade, which herbs to combine for a stress-reducing tea, or how to preserve your harvest... and so much more!

So contact me with your questions, comments and queries, or check in with me at one of the workshops I run at MeadowSweet, or the talks that I give on various gardening and plant topics to garden clubs and horticultural societies.

I also write monthly newsletter, and commissioned articles for various magazines and periodicals, and post quite frequently to a volley of Social Media channels - follow me to keep up to date with events, offerings, recipes and gardening ideas.

PLANTS

I do have plants for sale too! The specialist boutique nursery I have is small and personable - I grow all the plants myself from seed or cuttings, and they are cared for by me using organic principles, in a spray-free environment, until they find their forever homes.

I am passionate about useful plants, especially herbs, and grow as great a variety as I can - giving a selection of plants for culinary, medicinal, household, beauty or even spiritual and craft use. From common Basil to lesser known Valerian, have a look through my catalog to see what's available now. You will also find some seasonal fruit, such as berries, and interesting or heirloom vegetables (particularly tomatoes and chillies), companion plants and a few cottage garden flowers too.

My nursery is a small backyard endeavor in the middle of suburbia, so I am limited to what I can grow, and how much of it - which means not everything in my catalog is always available, but please make an inquiry, I'm always happy to help with what you may need.
