We have a medium size machine which can trim to 6m on the top
(or 7m on the side)

The cutting heads we use are either a 2.4m gang sawblade head, or a 1.5m mulching head. The advantages of these over the more commonly used flail head is they are far less messy and are safer to use around houses .
If the mulching head is used there is practically no clean-up. It is brilliant on Hawthorne hedges.

Our machine is 4wd and runs on large tyres therefore has less impact on softer ground.
