Maungatere Alternative Education

We are a educational facility dealing with vulnerable and at risk youth from our local high schools in North Canterbury Rangiora, Kaiapoi and Oxford. Literacy and numeracy is our focus but Life skills are also an important part of what we do.We use various methods outside the box to help our students to gain the necessary skills to survive in society.I have great staff with a passion for tutoring our students to enable them to succeed.Although challenging it is a great place to work.
