KingsGate School

Welcome to KingsGate School

Providing quality, affordable Christian Education for Franklin families

KingsGate is a Decile 5 school, situated on the corner of Montgomery Avenue and Victoria Street in Pukekohe. As is true for the wider Pukekohe community, KingsGate School enjoys a rich cultural diversity amongst its families, with Māori, Tuvaluan, Kiribati, Indian, Dutch, South African, English and New Zealand European cultures all represented at the school.

God is the author of mankind, and the author of culture. As a result, KingsGate School views its range of cultures as an exciting expression of the creativity of God and celebrates the uniqueness and value of each culture. The school focuses on the value God places on all people, as well as the context in which He places them.

As a Christian community of learning, unity in faith enables the school to work together for God's purposes, it also inspires staff to work to meet the special needs of others in the context of culture – to meet the needs of the students we have, whatever they may be. Hence, the school focuses on providing 'an holistic education, addressing the spiritual, cultural, social, emotional, physical and academic needs of each student. Such education must be relevant to the time and situation in which we live and also provide students with avenues of service in the community. This will equip students to live in the world, while remaining true to the core Christian beliefs and values' (From 'The KingsGate School Vision Explained').
