Valerie is a NZ fully registered primary trained teacher who has had over 20 years experience as Head of Learning Support in 3 well known secondary boys schools in NZ as well as working in the primary and intermediate setting. She is passionate about working with students with learning differences and overly sensitive students and understands the many challenges they face through out their schooling. Valerie focuses on the students strengths and builds on developing growth mindset. Valerie is also an Arts Therapist and has worked therapeutically with students as an Educational Play Therapist and Procedural Pain Therapist on children's wards so has a genuine understanding of working with families facing stressful times.
