Every day we learn, every day we teach, life is our education.
Here in New Zealand we are lucky to have education provided in quality schools across our country. However, not everyone is in tune with learning in a classroom. As classes grow in size and teachers dwindle in numbers it's understandable that the environment for learning is changing. In recent years for many different reasons parents are choosing to teach and educate their children outside of the "classroom", instead using the comfort and security of their home to provide a safe and rewarding educational environment a place where things like the kitchen, the garden and even the family pet become the topics of worthy and enriching education.
One of the hardest moments in making the decision to educate your children at home is putting your plan into action. Just knowing who and where to turn to and where to find the necessary resources can be both overwhelming and stressful.
