My name is Gerry Beckingsale, and I tutor school students in Maths, Chemistry and Physics from Year 7 to Year 13 from my home in Stanmore Bay. I also tutor adult students in Maths and beginners Excel spreadsheets. I have been tutoring since 2012, and I love it! Please contact me if you or your child needs tuition in any of these subjects. Tutoring Special Needs students is one of my strengths, as is my ability to give students the self confidence to tackle problems that they weren't willing to, previous to meeting me. My students have a very high success rate, with most of them advancing the equivalent of 2 NCEA levels, e.g. from Not Achieved to Merit. I always start with the fundamentals of the subject, as I have found that difficulties start when students don't understand them, and cannot move forward.
