Community Services
Diabetes Taranaki represents people with diabetes and pre-diabetes in Taranaki and provides a support network of:
- Local Help/Support Groups
- Regional / National Support
The Taranaki Diabetes Network welcomes all people with diabetes or pre-diabetes conditions, their families/whanau and all other people/organisations interested in diabetes.
- Local help/support.
- Acts as an advocate for people with diabetes.
- Raises awareness about diabetes, and how to prevent Type 2 diabetes.
- Educates and informs people about diabetes, its treatment, management and control.
- Supports diabetes research.
Diabetes Youth Taranaki acts as an advocate for children/youth with all types of diabetes in Taranaki.
DYT provides:
- Friendly access to DYT
- Volunteer Services.
- Education & Information
- Children / Family Camps
- Social activities
- Individual 'Buddy' support
