Community Services
I am a deaf community support worker in the Waikato area. I work under the MCA (Methodist City Action)- Hamilton Methodist Social Services.
My job role is cover from a support worker to advocator for the people with disabilities. My strong interests range from politics, Health including Mental Illness, Housing, specialised equipment to Education.
I am on the EGL (Enabling Good Lives) Waikato Leadership over four years. The EGL Waikato is going strong. I am also involved with the DHB Waikato -Disability Consumer (subgroup), work along with the Hamilton City Council, Waikato District Council and DPA (Disabled Persons Assembly) along with the Government including Office for Disability Issues over 30 years. I am currently involved with the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD) over 30 years.
Now I am a deaf coffee distributor for one company - Drinkmycoffee.
