I started babysitting for a couple of friends ranging from 4 to 9 years old, and still maintain good relationship with them 10 years on.
After working as a youthworker with Maori and Pacific youth from 11-18 years of age, this motivated me to go into study towards an early childhood degree. 3 years in and I am thoroughly enjoying it.
I love helping children exceed beyond their potential and watching them develop into independent and confident learners and making sure they are safe and cared for.
I am also a reliever in a couple of local preschools and have gotten rave reviews of my work there from staff and parents, oh and the kids of course!
