A FREE support service for families and whanau supporting someone affected by mental illness. We are here to provide information about mental illness, and help family and whanau safely navigate their way through mental health services to get the help they need. Our services are free, mobile, independent and confidential. As well as a one to one service we run several groups:
Eating Disorders Family Support Group meet fortnightly on a Wednesday night from 6:30pm – 8pm. 128 Devon Street East. The group offer a supportive, safe, non-judgmental and confidential environment where family members can come together and share with others who are experiencing similar situations.
Hawera Drop In Centre – Every Monday from 12:30pm – 3pm. CCS building, Princes Street, Hawera. For anyone who has experienced or is living with a mental illness. A welcoming, inclusive environment, to spend time socialising with people who may be in a similar situation, for companionship, emotional support and friendship, along with practical advice.
